Who we are
GYS DU PLESSIS
DOCTOR
Dr. Gys is a dynamic International Presenter and teacher.
He is involved in numerous talks and training programs internationally in the field of Healthy Ageing, Nutraceuticals, Functional Medicine and Aesthetics.
Dr. Gys du Plessis obtained his medical degree cum laude at the University of the Free State as well as a postgraduate qualification in Tropical Medicine at Wits. He qualified as a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM).
Dr. Gys du Plesis has a keen interest and a passion for Anti-ageing and Aesthetic Medicine. He has founded and established two holistic medical centers in South Africa since 2001 in Potchefstroom and Johannesburg. As the Medical Director of Nimue Skin International,from 2011 until 2014, he was involved in the Research and Design of Dermanutraceuticals and Cosmeceuticals as well as educating internationally for Nimue.
He has been active in the Aesthetic Medical fraternity since 1998 and has a Training institute for medical practitioners in South Africa. These CPD accredited courses, include advanced Botulinum and Filler injection theory and workshops, as well as teachings on supplements, detoxification, Bio Identical Hormones and the role of DNA in Healthy Ageing.
He currently practices as medical practitioner at the Healthy-Ageing Institute in Woodmead, Sandton in South Africa. His main clinical focus of interest is guiding people towards Healthy Ageing through Integrative and Aesthetic intervention. It includes amongst other interventions, managing stress and hormonal conditions in the body, using bio-identical hormones, DNA application and optimizing detoxification. His aesthetic work includes Botulinum and dermal fillers injections, threading, skin rejuvenating procedures as well as different interventions for body contouring.
SARA-LEA VAN EEDEN
MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
The marketing professional specializing in public relations.
Sara-Lea also has special interest in entrepreneurship and startup businesses. completed her B.Comm Communications degree at North West University in 2005.
Sara-Lea van Eeden is a marketing professional specializing in public relations. She however also has a special interest in entrepreneurship and startup businesses.
In 2005 she completed her B.Comm Communications degree at the North West University. Sara-Lea then continued with her studies, and completed her Honours degree in Corporate Communication Management in 2006 at the same institution.
Sara-Lea started her career as a journalist but quickly turned to Public Relations – and over the last 10 years worked with both local and international clients such as L’Oréal South Africa, Discovery Networks, A+E Networks UK, Sony Pictures Releasing International and The Sorbet Group.
She currently owns and manages her own Public Relations Agency, S-ELLE PR & Marketing.
